Packing

Finally the day has come to pack for California. Back in April/May I was waiting to hear if I got into the Student Volunteer program. I wasn't trying to get myself bummed out so I thought that most likely I wasn't going to get in. I was sent an email around the end of school that I was wait listed. I waited and waited and kept checking the website to see if some how the email they sent me was lost. Finally when I was about to give up on it all together I get an email saying I got in!

WOOOO yes so since then I've been super excited to go. But today I feel like I'm made out of jelly I'm way too excited.

SIGGRAPH here I come!!

Instead of updating my face book status every few hours...

I figure I'll share my excitement on my blogger. This Saturday I'm leaving for California. I'm way too excited for SIGGRAPH. I'm an Application Guru.. which I guess is a person who helps out with apps. We'll see XD right now I'm working on my website and coding everything.

It's really hard to focus on it with all my excitement about this SATURDAY!!

I'm flying solo out there so I bought a few books for my trip.

Right now I'm reading FUN HOUSE by Alison Bechdel. It's a graphic novel a professor of mine suggested to me to read. I'm enjoying it so far. Honestly I'm really bad at reviewing things because I'll just say "It's good" "It's bad" with out going into much detail. It's okay to practice though. Anyways I'll give it a shot and review it when I finish it.

I also bought 1984 by George Orwell and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I'll try to review those too. I'm saving those for the plane ride.

Anyways just to get the website rolling tonight will be good. I just need to focus

2 weeks until SIGGRAPH!

Yup Two weeks until I head out to California for SIGGRAPH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIGGRAPH). I'm both excited and nervous. Some of my favorite companies are going to be there such as Pixar and Dreamworks. My goal is to have all my stuff ready to perhaps land an internship or a job. I dunno I'm very modest about my work, but if I try it wont hurt anything.

I'm planing on going back into my work to improve it as well.
