My BFA book is coming along I have to color quite a few illustrations before moving onto my promotional material. For Spring break I'm planning on working on rendering my story boards that I've created for my book.

Right now I'm working on the over all color theme!

And are the oscars tonight? because if they are I've been living under a rock. Hahaha

Busy Week

So updates have been less frequent recently.. Sorry about that. I've been super busy lately!

This upcoming week I'm going to California for Game Developers Conference. I have to prepare for that, and make sure I have a tight portfolio to show potential employers. I also have to work on my BFA!! I mustn't forget that lol! Anyways I hope everyone is doing well.

FISSSSSSHHH?!!

Working on my thesis and website the last few days. Oh and some papers here and there. I've been working to get everything done before Game Developer's conference in March! So I'm going back out to California to talk to people out there and make connections! So in the meantime I've been working a lot!

There's a critique on the 2nd of March before I leave on the 3rd.. so hopefully it will go over well.

Oh Grandma

My Grandma Bibis was a strong woman. She took care of both my mother and my uncle alone after her husband (my grandfather) died tragically in a jet plane collision. Growing up I remembered it was hard for her to get along with me. Not like she didn't love me she just had her own way of showing it. A few years back (almost three years now) she was diagnosed with cancer. That summer she needed help getting around because she also had dementia. I was there everyday taking care of her. She'd have tempers, but sometimes I'd see a very sweet side to her. She passed away peacefully in November of that same year. There was no funeral because she didn't want one. Some days like today it really hits me that she's gone. It's sometimes hard to believe she isn't here on this plane anymore. I'm happy she isn't in that failing body anymore, but I'm sad because I miss her dearly.

BFAin'

Hey guys,

I thought I'd be able to update my blog for all my sketching but right now I'm working on my book layout. Turns out I'll end up with a whopping 80 pages!! some really exciting stuff. I'll show some of my process! The yellow is my preliminary layout. So I can get my thoughts down(There's multiple pages of this one.

The second is my cleaned up version.

I'll be working in Indesign for the remainder.

Also another project I'm working on with my boyfriend is an updated portfolio website. I hope to link my blogger there. But in the mean time I'll be using Blogger to update what I'm working on!

Creature Thursday

I swear anymore problems with my car and it'll be a bona fide monster!

I accidently locked my keys in the car this morning while the car was running. (my spare keys have mysteriously disappeared)

Wonderful Wednesday!

This week I'm thankful for many things.

Making it home safely last night when the ice/sleet storm hit. Staying home today in a warm house to my artwork. And my boyfriend coming to see me on Friday!

Hopefully tomorrow the weather will get better driving in snow isn't my favorite thing in the world!
