Reorganizing my time

Hey! So I've been working to manage my time wisely something everyone struggles with. Unless you're superhuman or something...
In about a month I go to Siggraph which doesn't leave me a lot of time. I wrote down in a notebook today how I'm going to manage my time before I have to go and meet people.

First off I want to redesign my website:

Yeah the pink goodness ( took me a while to figure out how to upload it.) I want to make it look professional and less goofy so I'm cutting the pages down to one or two and just having my work up there for now. Because honestly I'm not a website designer. (Plus the stuff I have up there now is old)

During my redesign phase I'll be working on pieces that I'll put into my portfolio extra stuff outside of my school work. I know lots of companies love 3d models made from maya or 3d max but I haven't mastered that at all.

I'm also designing business cards to hand out to potential employers.
I'm excited for California. I hope I can get my butt in gear to do what needs to be done.

Sad Tarsier

This summer my big project is to start working on my BFA. I'm not one of those people who has their life story all ready to go. I really have to sit and sketch out what I want to do. Maybe its not good that I'm talking about it in this blogger right now.

I read a really good book yesterday called "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. It highlighted issues of procrastination and "resistance". What I agree with most, because I find myself doing this a form of resistance is victimizing yourself. I have health problems popping up here and there asthma, acid reflux to name a few. Both I understand are forms of resistance. "I'm feeling sick today I'll do work tomorrow."
The book goes into how to find these problems and work your way out of them by WORKING your way out of them whether it be painting, writing, exercise, and what have you.

This book was motivational and helped me realize that the only person holding you back is yourself... no one else.

So with that I plan to just sketch and sketch and sketch till I have a eureka moment. If I don't work I'll just be stuck and get no where.

So BFA watch out!
